PDCA
effective project management
How to manage PDCA projects effectively at a production plant?
Effective project management and, more important, the efficiency of the implemented solutions depend on several factors. Each project begins with defining the problem and choosing the team whose aim is to work out the solutions. It is essential to precisely determine the objectives and action plan as well as delegate tasks to team members. A fairly common problem, especially when it comes to introducing corrective measures, is the implementation of too many regulations which turn out to be ineffective and non-ergonomic.
The motivation to comply with them weakens every day and it becomes difficult to enforce fulfillment of aims of the employees. It is therefore crucial for a project not to end up with plan elaboration and task delegation without having verified the efficiency in practice. The chosen methods and solutions gain the status of procedures and become a new standard in the company. However, if a solution is ineffective the team continues their work until they achieve all aims in line with PDCA framework. (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
SIEGA software allows you to register each problem together with its graphic form, choose team members, coordinate the time and place of meetings, elaborate action plan with the tasks for particular team members and above all to manage the process of implementation of effective solutions.
The solutions offered by SIEGA support the motivation system of employees on all levels, especially production workers, machine operators and physical workers. The research showed that these employees have great potential to introduce changes and improve the processes. They are often the creators or co-creators of solutions which considerably change the company image by the introduction of new standards, improvement of logistic and production processes or products.
