The research carried out on the group of 1700 employees in more than a dozen production plants and logistics centres prove that the problem many companies have to face is a wrong relationship between the main activity performed by the workers, which directly contributes to creating added value, and complementary activities, interruptions or various forms of waste.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>

The most common reason for such a situation is the ignorance of the scale of interruptions in the processes and as a result assuming that all activities and tasks are necessary and natural for a given workstation. The audits conducted with the use of SIEGA tools showed various situations of time wastes in task-switching that were unnoticed due to the fact that they take place on different stages of the process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div>

SIEGA provides the tools to independently conduct audits at a time and frequency convenient to a given organizational unit. After the audit the management receives feedback about the areas which need improvement and the activities which should be eliminated from the process. The audits are conducted by means of two mobile devices: a device for the auditor and, in case of machine and forklift operators, another device attached to the operator\u2019s forearm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

SIEGA provides all the information concerning time and categories of particular activities or processes and indicates the areas which need improvement or the activities which should be eliminated. The user is also provided with a simulator which analyses how the introduction of certain organizational or technological changes translates into the concentration on the main activity as well as the number of production or logistic units per unit of time. The software also enables the comparison of particular operations or processes in various organizational units in order to choose and implement the most effective solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>
